What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a modern, long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. It consists of a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root.
Once the implant bonds with the bone, a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture is attached, restoring both the appearance and function of natural teeth.
Dental implants look, feel, and work like real teeth, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

More about the procedure:
Implants are a permanent and bespoke solution for missing teeth. The colour will be tailored to match your natural teeth, although you may opt instead for an overall whiter finish. Tooth implants are entirely natural-looking, and will restore your confidence in your smile.
Missing teeth can also change the shape of your face. A tooth stimulates the bone in which it sits and keeps it at a normal mass. When you lose a tooth, this bone mass is reduced, which affects not only your speech but also your facial structure. Dental implants are the only tooth replacement solution that combats this reduction by keeping the bone stimulated.
The tooth implant itself is a titanium screw. It is secured directly into your jawbone, replacing the missing tooth root. A false tooth, be it a crown or a denture, is then fitted on top, lending an entirely natural finish to your smile. After fitting, the surrounding bone will gradually fuse to your implant, holding it firmly in place.
Implants cost from £2300. The exact cost for the individual case will be confirmed after your initial examination.
The procedure should be painless, as the area will be anaesthetised to ensure minimum discomfort.
If you take good care of your implant and follow your dentist’s advice, there’s no reason it shouldn’t last as long as your natural teeth.
There’s no limit to how many implants you can have fitted. You may even choose to have multiple fittings in the same procedure.
